Ashley Adams has been appointed to the position of Kwikspace Cape Town branch manager effective 4 January 2021.
Ashley, a registered Professional Engineering Technologist (PR.Tech.Eng) with over 30 years engineering experience, has a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and postgraduate diploma in Business Administration. He has completed more than 10 separate short courses related to his profession, with finance, legal, safety and industrial relations among them.
His career experience includes that with companies in mechanical engineering, construction material supply, and specialised watercraft manufacture. Ashley had managerial roles in all but his first position, one which he filled prior to completing an NHDP in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa and a member of the SA Institution of Mechanical Engineering, Ashley has several career highlights. Among them are achieving competitive profit margins under declining market conditions; maintaining market share in a highly competitive market; achieving the lowest operational costs compared with similar operations; and significantly improving the area of safety performance in his various positions.
Reporting to Kwikspace COO Roberto Campos, Ashley says that in addition to his career experience, the value he brings to Kwikspace is his thorough understanding of project management and the technical aspects; and the ability to motivate team members to exceed performance targets.
