The SAlMechE_UJ Student Chapter hosted an engineering career day on Friday, 03 May 2024 at the University of Johannesburg APK Campus in collaboration with prestigious organisations, including SAIEE, EWB, ECSA, SAICE, UJCIVILS, and UJ Racing . This event marked a significant opportunity for both current UJ students and graduates to explore diverse career prospects and engage directly with prominent companies in the engineering industry.
A variety of reputable companies participated in the event, offering valuable insights into their operations, career pathways, and available bursary programme. Companies such as Megchem, Juta, IFE Elevators, Airbus, AGE Technologies, Palucraft, CSIR, Howden, Mecad, SKF Bearings, and others were present, showcasing their contributions to the engineering field and providing attendees with a deeper understanding of potential career opportunities.
